About me
Julie has dedicated the past four years to serving as the Special Education Secondary Program Coordinator in AUSD. With over 23 years of experience in public education, she has consistently championed literacy and inclusive practices—two of her greatest professional passions. Julie has mentored aspiring educators as a supervisor for credential candidates from San Francisco State University, where she also contributed as an adjunct professor. Throughout her career as a Special Education teacher and Teacher on Special Assignment (TSA), Julie has led impactful professional development initiatives both locally and nationally. She served as a National Trainer with the American Federation of Teachers, sharing her expertise to elevate instructional practices and foster inclusive learning environments. Julie’s vision is to cultivate a collaborative, inclusive-minded community of educators committed to excellence and continuous growth.
