About me
Throughout my time in education, I have faced and overcome reluctance towards equitable teaching practices, consistently emphasizing our collective belief that all students deserve to learn in a safe and supportive environment. I share from my own experience and can speak to what worked for me as a first grade teacher. My approach involves supporting staff in strengthening their grasp of Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Anti-Bias Anti-Racist (ABAR) strategies, Restorative Justice practices, and Culturally Responsive Teaching (CLR) techniques. I seamlessly integrate these approaches with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 supports to create a comprehensive educational environment. I have collaborated with SRVUSD teachers to help select read aloud books for the Social Justice Unit and pair these texts with grade-level appropriate activities and discussion questions.
As SRVUSD expands upon its definition of student success, I am excited to be part of Twin Creeks and Coyote Creek's administration teams where we foster supportive and inclusive systems to ensure high levels of learning for all students.
