About me
I am a 30 year veteran in mathematics education with a 10-year interregnal of pursuing a PhD at the University of Georgia (I'm ABD and very happy with that) and working in education research and service in the private sector. My areas of interest are mathematical knowledge for teaching, equity in mathematics education, and almost all things geometry, graph theory, and number theory.
I have sponsored math clubs, quiz bowl teams, Junior States of America, and Gender/Sexuality Alliances. Like any good teacher, I advocate for all my students, but am currently speaking out against a very tiny, yet very vocal, set of community members who think that some students should not be acknowledged. And having a lot of fun doing it.
